Mary Lou was born April 5, 1943 in Ellenboro, WV, a daughter of the late Martin Luther and Beaulah Mae (Tucker) Corbin. Mary Lou’s greatest love in her life was her 5 children. During her working career, she worked numerous jobs to provide for each one of them the best way that she could. Her working career began at the former Midway Restaurant of Pennsboro, WV and then she worked in the garment industry of Ritchie County at the former Myles Manufacturing of Pennsboro, WV. She later retired after a 25 year career as a chemical operator at the American Cyanamid plant and she also volunteered for the Neighborhood Network of St. Marys, WV. Mary Lou was a proud graduate of Pennsboro High School with the class of 1962, was a member of the St. Mary’s Elks and Moose Lodges, and was a member of the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church of Ellenboro, WV. She greatly enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, hunting, fishing, her flowers, and she was a wonderful seamstress.
She is survived by her 5 children, Audra Cunningham (Eric) of Hebron, WV; Christopher Weekley (Michelle) of Parkersburg, WV; Tina Carpenter (Steve) of St. Marys, WV; David Weekley (Becky) of St. Marys, WV; Cindy Weekley (Chris Hensley) of Sistersville, WV; brother, Martin L. “Bud” Corbin (Mary Jo) of St. Marys, WV; sisters, Patty McCurry (Ron) of Glendale, AZ and Susan Cunningham of Boulder, NV; grandchildren, Erica Bennett (Tony); Nathan Cunningham (Karley); Kayla Bowie (Logan); Kristin “Boogie” Grose; Cari Weekley; Tucker Weekley; Cole Jones; 4 great grandchildren, Callie & Luke Bennett and Brooks & Slade Bowie; brother in law, Vance Weekley of Pennsboro, WV; nephew, Tony Poling of Pennsboro, WV and niece, Stephanie Poling of Pennsboro, WV; nieces, Heidi Stinespring, Parkersburg, WV, Michelle Headrick, Cairo, WV and Cassi Headrick, Parkersburg, WV;
and nephews, Joshua Cunningham, St. Marys, WV and John Corbin, Williamstown, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David W. Weekley in 2007; brother, Roger Corbin; step father, Glen Umstot; sister in law and friend, Myra Purvis, and father and mother in law, Charles & Juanita Weekley.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Friday, April 20, 2018, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV with her brother, Martin L. “Bud” Corbin officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Maple Lane Cemetery in Hebron, WV. Visitation will be from 2pm-8pm on Thursday, at the funeral home.
